Memory Eternal! Fr. John Boddecker’s Grandmother

Bertha (McKenzie) Campbell, 89, of the Town of Niagara, NY, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2026.  Born on December 13, 1936 in New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Johnson) McKenzie and the beloved wife of John L. Campbell.

Bertha was raised and attended schools in Canada and came to Niagara Falls following her marriage to John, on April 19, 1958.  Bertha retired from The Town of Niagara  Courts, where she worked as an assistant to the court clerk.  She was a member of Forestview Bible Church.  Bertha taught Release Time locally as well as Sunday School.

In addition to her husband, Bertha is survived by children, Karen (Jim) Salhany and Kevin (Carol) Campbell; grandchildren, Paul (Carrie) and Dan (Stephanie) Campbell and Kevin (Katie) and Brian (Tara) Boddecker; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Brian McKenzie and Ren McKenzie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, John, Donald, Margaret, Sybil and Fred.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, September 17th, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where Bertha’s funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Ronald Maines officiating.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice and/or Forestview Bible Church.
