Roy Abou Chedid is the mayor of Beit Meri Lebanon. The vice mayor is a cousin of Mohkiber family, Dr. Sami Mokhiber. Beit Meri is the neighboring town to Brummana. Both of those towns in Lebanon is where a large majority of the Lebanese community at our church and local area migrated from. They will be at Niagara Falls city hall today (11/21) at 1130, celebrating the lebanese diaspora in the area. City council will be present and they will be planting a Lebanon Cedar tree as a show of unity between our areas. If you are available please join us for the tree planting ceremony!
