Glory be to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
What a blessing and honor to pray today for all of our spiritual forebearers in our 100-year history at St. George; many of you count them among your biological parents and ancestors! We prayed for each one by name last night and this morning. May all of your loved ones be remembered by Christ in His Kingdom! Thank you to Khouriye for the wonderful kollyva.
This weekend continues this evening with Great Vespers and our annual Meatfare Week party (5PM). Please bring something to share (MEAT, cheese, eggs, and other snacks, beverages (adult and otherwise) ), etc. Bring your favorite board games and musical instruments. Parents, you may want to bring your kid’s snow gear as we have deep snow and huge banks to play on. Maybe someone will get a bonfire going.
The church is set-up for tomorrow’s Godparents Brunch, so we will have to be sure not to disturb the tables etc. Thank you, Ann and Kh. Kelley for what is sure to be a great meal tomorrow! (If you’ve not previously registered, please let those who have be served first to be sure we have plenty of food. Or better yet, contact Ann or Khouriye today.)
